Pumpkin Rock Trail
2675 Vandermolen Drive, Norco
 
Pumpkin Rock Trail is a 3.2-mile loop trail suited for all skill levels that features vibrantly-colored wild flowers and incredible views. The trail gradually goes uphill with occasional steep inclines. You’ll see Pumpkin Rock right away, but keep going to enjoy stunning 360-degree views of Mt. Baldy, Big Bear, and an aerial view of La Sierra University. The dog-friendly trail is accessible from March to October.
 
Skyline Drive Trail
Skyline Drive, Corona
 
Skyline Drive is an 11.4-mile out and back trail located in the Cleveland National Forest that offers impressive views of Corona and the rest of the Inland Empire. Go the full distance to the Doppler ball or turn around at the midway peak. Both routes offer breathtaking skyline views and challenging inclines. On clear days, you can see Catalina Island, the San Clemente Islands, and the Long Beach Harbor. There is no respite from the sun, so be prepared for hot conditions and bring lots of water. Skyline Drive is open year-round and welcomes on-leash dogs.
 
River Walk Park

River Walk Park is Eastvale’s portion of the Santa Ana River Trail, a trail system designed to extend from the Pacific Ocean to the San Bernardino Mountains. This beautifully-maintained park provides miles of trail walking along the Santa Ana River. The trail is divided into two sides: a dirt trail for horses and an asphalt trail for walking, jogging, and biking. There is minimal shade on the trail, but an abundance of beautiful scenery and wildlife to enjoy.
 
Black Star Canyon Trail

Take in the beauty, nature, and incredible views of Black Star Canyon, a remote mountain canyon in the Santa Ana Mountains. The 6-mile hike starts out as an easy incline, but becomes more challenging as you continue. Once you reach the base of the riverbed, you are jumping rocks up to a waterfall which typically only flows during the rainy season.
 
Mt. Rubidoux Trail
4706 Mt. Rubidoux Park, Riverside
 
The Mt. Rubidoux Trail is a very popular paved asphalt walking and hiking trail in Riverside, sitting on a hill just outside of town. There are two routes that lead to the iconic Mt. Rubidoux Cross and sweeping city views; short and steep or long and flat. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with 360-degree views. The Mt. Rubidoux Trail is a leisurely hike that offers a great escape on a weekend afternoon.
